5.5 Administrative Page

Choose Administration from Administration menu

In this way you get access to Administrative Page.

In this page you may:

delegate Administrative rights to other user(s).
prohibit rights
change Default Exchange Recipient Container

The users that have administrative rights upon Exchange Organization and/or Exchange Organization Unit (Site) are written in the upper part. These administrators are specified through the Microsoft Exchange Server Administrator application and they cannot be changed on security reasons. All of them have Administrative rights upon IMI Mailbox WEB Console as well.

Besides the above pointed administrators you may delegate administrative rights of IMI Mailbox WEB Console to other users as well. These rights refer to the WEB application only and do not reflect in any way in Microsoft Exchange Server Administrator application. These users won’t be able to start the Microsoft Exchange Server Administrator application from their computers, but they have access to the whole administrative part of IMI Mailbox WEB Console:

they could change data of other users;

delete selected objects - Mailboxes, Custom Recipients or/and Distribution Lists;

create new objects - Mailboxes, Custom Recipients or/and Distribution Lists;

delegate rights to third users

Important:
Because of the above pointed opportunities please be especially careful when delegating administrative rights to other users.

To delegate administrative rights to other user(s):

Choose the name from the users’ list

Press Add button

The new IMI Mailbox WEB Console administrator will apear in the name list.

To prohibit administrative rights to other user(s)

Choose an existing administrator from the administrators list

Press Delete button

The user with administrative rigths in IMI Mailbox WEB Console will be deleted from the list.

Through Default MS Exchange Recipient Container section you may point the container in which all objects of IMI Mailbox WEB Console will be created. The indication of this container reflects in no way to the applications of Microsoft Exchange Server Administrator and Microsoft Exchange Server – User Manager Extension for Microsoft User Manager for Domains.

To alter the container which default value is Recipients:

choose from the list of containers the one you wish to become a Default

Press Change button to save the changes.

From this moment all objects (Mailboxes, Custom Recipients or/and Distribution Lists), which you create through IMI Mailbox WEB Console will be located in that container.
